This is a pattern, not a finished headband!
 
Inspired by the Rocky Mountains, the Peak to Peak Headband features mountain ridges created by purl stitches and "snowballs" from simple wrapped bobbles.
 
This pattern uses super bulky yarn and has two options: one-color and two-color. While both feature knits, purls, simple wrapped bobbles, and mock cables, the one-color option is the easier of the two. The two-color option requires colorwork, catching your floats, and good tension.
 
Both options come in three sizes: under 10 child (10 years+/ small adult, large adult). Head sizes vary greatly, measure the headband recipient’s head and choose size by circumference rather than age. Child (approx head circumference 18-20”), teen/small adult (approx head circumference 20-22”) and large adult (approx head circumference 22”+).
 
Yarn: Super bulky yarn
One-color: Approx 40-60 yards
Two-color: Approx 40-60 yards (main color)& approx 15-20 yards (contrasting color)

16” circular and/or DPN needles US Size 11/ 8mm
16” circular and/or DPN needles US Size 13/ 9mm
